We love and appreciate the amazing volunteers who make it all happen, and we could not do all that we do to support our school, Safekeepers, and school families without them!
This past year 98 volunteers served in 298 volunteer slots! THANK YOU!
This, of course, does not include any hours that the WINGS PTSO leadership team put this year!
lunch fundraising program
Tuesday/Thursday Lunches: 1,110 lunches sold and $2,081 raised!
Pizza Fridays: 1,092 pizzas sold (including 47 donated to staff) and $3,631 raised!
Smoothie Day: 419 smoothies sold (including 50 donated to staff) and $872 raised!
Classroom mini-grants
Did you know that the Lunch Program doesn't just provide a yummy and convenient lunch option for students? It also funds our Mini Grant program, which enables teachers for each classroom, special area and elective, and support area to purchase supplies for their classrooms.
This year we funded 32 Mini Grants totaling $5,300!
safekeeper appreciation and support
We supported and celebrated our amazing Safekeepers in many ways this past year, including:
- Room Parent Volunteers!
- Teacher Meeting Meals every two weeks to feed the Safekeepers as they stay late for staff meetings!
- a five-day Gratitude Week in November!
- monthly birthday cakes and celebrating teacher and staff birthdays!
- two staff appreciation parties during the year!
- a five-day Safekeeper Appreciation Week in May!
- a new fridge for the teacher's breakroom this past year!
student support
Students put the "S" in PTSO, and we are here to support them! This year, WINGS PTSO supported students by:
- providing popcorn for Movie Day before Winter Break and ice cream on the last day of school!
- providing students with mints for testing days!
- coordinating volunteers and food for the 5th Grade Celebration Breakfast at the end of the year and volunteering at the 8th Grade Graduation!
- purchasing a Robotics Program for the Middle School STEM class in 2024!
nature club
This past year, the WINGS PTSO Nature Club had 67 members. The Nature Club participated in
- Monthly excursions (including to Wakulla Springs, Leon Sinks Geological Area, and Gulf Specimen Aquarium)
- Annual Camping Trip at Florence Marina State Park in Georgia
- Annual Tubing Trip down the Ichetucknee River!
summer playdate
WINGS PTSO organized the summer playdate. We had a lot of fun cooling down and connecting this summer at the Cascades Park splashpad!
HANGAR 38 SHARE NIGHT!
Thank you for joining us at our end of the year party at Hangar 38! We had so much fun playing Bingo, enjoying good food, and hanging out with you!
NATURE CLUB'S ANNUAL TUBING TRIP!
What better way to end the year than floating down a cool river with our school family and friends! This Nature Club event was open to all school families and friends!
SAFEKEEPER APPRECIATION WEEK!
Thank you to everyone who celebrated and showed appreciation to all of our amazing Safekeepers at SASC!
9TH ANNUAL SPRING CARNIVAL!
We had so much fun at Spring Carnival, which included bounce houses, a teacher relay, dunk tank, carnival games, and more! Funds raised at the Spring Carnival will support sending at least 3 Safekeepers to Conscious Discipline Summer Training!
- 111 Wristbands Pre-sold (more sold on site!)
- 8 Safekeepers participated in the relay!
- 5 Safekeepers were dunked!
- Middle School Band ensemble performances!
Also at Spring Carnival was the raffle and the kick-off of the Online Silent Auction!
- 51 raffle prizes with a total value of over $6,000 (included 9 awesome baskets donated by classes and 29 items donated by businesses)
- 427+ raffle tickets sold
- $1,350 raised at Online Silent Auction

art uprising & Culver's share night
We loved helping to facilitate Art Uprising, where the school showcased scholars' art, Middle School Scholars volunteered and did demonstrations, and students had fun creating at interactive art stations!

Tickets for the Middle School dance were sold by the school and fund the bus for the 8th Grade end-of-the-year trip! All Middle School students were invited. WINGS PTSO provided the decor, paid for the food, and arranged for volunteers!
skate world share night
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Skate World Share Night for fun, music, skating, and raising funds for WINGS PTSO! Together, we had a blast and raised over $1500!
book fair
After the week of snow (who thought we'd say that in Florida?) in January, we jumped right into one of our favorite weeks of the year - Book Fair! We had so much fun at Book Fair Community Night and enjoyed a yummy dinner at the Culver's Share Night! Thank you for your support!
WINGS PTSO coordinated volunteers who decorated and worked tirelessly to ensure our students and families had a terrific book fair experience! A huge THANK YOU to all of the wonderful and hardworking volunteers who made this year's awesome Book Fair possible! You are so appreciated!
We hosted a teacher preview, at which they were able to get a first look and put together class book wish lists. Throughout the week, all of the classes visited and shopped the book fair. That Wednesday, we hosted a Book Fair Community Night at which school families were able to shop with their scholars and participate in activities!
- 1,680 total books sold!
- Earned $7,602 Scholastic Dollars for our school!
- 137 new books were donated to our school!
Thank you to everyone who set up eWallets or sent their scholars with cash to purchase books at the fair!

Thank you to everyone who rocked out with us at our November Share Event with the FSU School of Theatre!
elementary school fall dance
π Thank you for glowing with us at the Fall Dance! We had so much fun, and we hope you did, too! Funds raised pay for busses at Field Day in the Spring, so the fun was for a good cause!

- 263+ slices of pizza

βοΈ We had a blast! We had a GREAT time at Phun Run in September connecting as a school family and cheering on the runners!!
βοΈ Thank you!! We reached our FUNdraising goal! Our Principal, Vice Principals, AND Front Office Staff dressed in silly onesies for a WHOLE school day!
βοΈ We not only did we have "phun" at Phun Run, but we exceeded our goal — raising $6,595!
βοΈ WINGS PTSO has been working with school administration to use the funds to best benefit our growing special area and electives programs! So far, the funds have purchased a pottery kiln for Art and sound stage equipment for Drama! More is in the works!

Creative Community Night
We had so much fun at Creative Community Night, where school families had the chance to connect, have fun together, and unleash their creativity!

We kicked off the 2024-2025 school year with the Back to School Splash at the FSU Lakefront Park & Retreat Center (formerly known as the Rez). This was a FREE event for our school families!
